Lundgreen’s Invest – High Tech Defence Fond A/S is an alternative investment fund (AIF).
The aim is to allow semi-annual entry and exit from the fund.
ABOUT THIS INVESTMENT
Lundgreen’s Invest has entered into a unique partnership with Normark Defence to invest in new innovative and high-tech products for defense, intelligence services, and the defense industry (see also the next section, “About Normark Defence”).
Each product developed by Normark Defence is spun off into an independent company. Lundgreen’s Invest – High Tech Defence Fond A/S is the external investor that contributes growth capital in exchange for an ownership stake in the individual company. These high-tech products are developed in collaboration with leading universities with special knowledge and research within the specific technology used. The fund’s initial capital contribution to the companies is secured a special preferential status in connection with the sale or possible liquidation of the individual companies.
Normark Defence has special insight into how, for example, defense budget allocations for procurement and repurchase agreements can be included in the sale of their products, and Normark Defence is also recognized for its innovative solutions among large international companies in the defense industry.
The individual product developments are encapsulated in separate companies with a view to resale. Half of the companies are expected to be sold early on as product developments that have proven to be commercially viable. Others will be retained for a longer period, but with an expected sale within three years, and the remaining 10 to 20 percent of the companies may remain under ownership or be listed on the stock exchange.
The fund is free to invest in any company within the defense sector, but there is a country restriction. Furthermore, the fund does not invest in nuclear products, weapons, or ammunition.
